Alex co-created, coaches and performs with Stürike Comedy, created MATES: The Improvised ’90s Sitcom, co-founded and co-runs the Sheffield Improv Jam, and is a welfare officer and teacher at The British Improv Project. He teaches longform improvisation in Sheffield and nationwide.
Alex created the award-winning improvised relationship drama Between Us, improvised romcom Scriptless In Seattle (nominated Best Improv Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2017) and Teen High: An Improvised Teen Movie.
Alex has performed with The Shrimps, Cambridge Impronauts, The Same Faces and Tiny Stories. He is still not at all bitter about coming second in Leicester Comedy Festival’s Improv Smackdown 2017 to Will Naameh.
Rachel E. Thorn
Rachel E. Thorn co-created the five-star sell-out show CSI: Crime Scene Improvisation and MATES: The Improvised ’90s Sitcom. She also created Between Us and Scriptless In Seattle, which was nominated for Best Improv Show at Leicester Comedy Festival, and has performed with Cambridge Impronauts, Upstairs Downton, Shrimps and Chucklenuts.
Rachel teaches narrative and dramatic improvisation internationally, including for Equity, Theatre Momentum in Chicago, and Making Room at Sheffield Theatres.
Rachel is currently touring her solo show Lovefool. She has written for Dead Ringers, Newsjack and Breaking The News. Her sketch comedy has been heard on BBC radio and performed by impressionists including Alistair McGowan, Rory Bremner and Christina Bianco. She trained at Drama Studio London.
